The DA/DR is a compensate agreed by the government against price rise. The very idea of freezing the same needs to be considered by the Govt.also, the DR for pensioners is calculated against the original pension which is half the basic salarylast drawn. That means that the price rise is compensted 50% only for the Retirees. This aspect needs consideration.

  2. Increase in DA from July 2020 will not be paid with effect from 1.7.2020, then what is benefit to calculate it?

  3. The benefit of increase in DA to be given notionally to the Retirees during DA freeze period. Government need to clarify this to remove the ambiguity

You mean to say that Gratuity/EL Encashment amount will not be revised even after July.2021 by considering the DA as Notional

I am retiring at the end of July 2020 on superannuation. Now I am losing DA applicable from July’20 for the purpose of Calculating Retirement Gratuity and Earned Leave Encashment. Is there any chance of getting these arrears on sanction of DA from July 2021.

  6. Detail about expected DA from July 2020 really good. But it seems whatever the output from Expected DA calculator from July 2020 will not be paid during DA freeze period

  7. As per OM of Finance Ministry whatever the calculation for DA from July 2020 will not be paid till July 2021.
