Deputation Policy in MTNL and BSNL

Deputation Policy as contained in Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) guidelines is being followed by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

Group ‘A’ officers of Department of Telecommunications are on deemed deputation in MTNL and BSNL as their absorption process is not yet complete. Similarly some executives of MTNL and BSNL are working on deputation in some other Departments.

This information was given in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha by Shri Sachin Pilot, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

  1. they do not want to go as they are corrupt and making so much money that no govt Servant can dream of. one of DGM has taken one house for 10 Crore in Luknow and he is posted in Bihar. similarly others also.

    it is my demand ITS officers should be scrutinized by CBI. Sachin Pilot also should be tracked as I thing ITS officers are paying something to him for Staying in BSNL, as I could not digest this statement of nonaborbation.

  2. All ITS should be finally be fully absorbed in BSNL/MTNL or withdrawn from BSNL/MTNL to reform these organisation, because both these establishments are continuously going in loss in their leaderships. They can be some what technocrates, but they could not be good administrator.

    Thus for the betterment & revival of of BSNL/MTNL, their prolonged deputation should be decided on top prioritry, whether they will absorb permanently or redirected to DOT for their further posting.

  3. All ITS should be fully absorbed in BSNL and MTNL or withdrawn from BSNL and MTNL to reform these organisation.
