OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Declaration of Holiday on 14th April, 2017 – Birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

It has been decided to declare Friday, the 14th April 2017, as a Closed Holiday on account of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices including Industrial Establishments throughout India.

2. The above holiday is also being notified in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881).

3. All Ministries/Departments of Government of India may bring the above decision to the notice of all concerned.

  1. These all corp orates never follow this day. 14th April is their Dad’s birthday actually, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is the father of modern india, He wrote the constitution of India. Because of him we are availing many facilities in the corporate field and even in government. 8 Hours work in a day, Provident fund, Maternity-Paternity leaves for ladies, Insurance, RBI was also a concept of Dr. Ambedkar, He is the only person behind the formation of RBI, He is not limited for only low caste people, all the ladies even in TATA Birla family are living freely because of him only. If you do not believe then read the history. Still Indian history has forgotten his work and hide his work or no one spreads the information. But ashamed on those who do not remember or feel thankful to him. We are Because He Was!
