The relating issues mentioned in the “terms of reference” under Ex-servicemen are worth to mention for consideration. We hope, the six-member committee, comprising the Cabinet Secretary, the Defence Secretary, the Secretary for Department of Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare, the Secretary for Department of Personnel and Training, the Secretary for Finance (Dept. of Expenditure) and the Principal Secretary to PM, who are now members of the present “Anomalies Committee” must be sympathetic to re-consider the issues, since the Rajya Sabha’s Committee on Petitions has already recommended, strongly. We hope, the Hon’ble Prime Minister may address the same from the Red Fort grounds on the 15th August, 2012. We soon going to hear a happy news shortly.

It is quite appreciable step. What about GREF/Border Roads Organisation personnel who had worked/working shoulder to shoulder with Army in the most inhospitable conditions throughout their service on the extreme border area. I hope due consideration will also be given to them (BRO personnel) while finalising the issue of One Rank One Pay to defence personnel by the concerned Ministry without waiting for complaints against disparity.
